Amazing demographic changes in my client base

I have been a massage therapist for 12+ years, mostly working with pre/post surgical patients and those clients suffering from chronic pain. In my experience, the "average" massage client was women between the ages of 38 - 60. Suddenly, I'm seeing an exciting new trend! More men are seeking massage therapy services.

This is a very encouraging development, especially as we become better consumers of health care. Massage therapy does not have to be a "luxury" or simply a "girls day out". The very foundation of living a healthy lifestyle can include massage for the management of stress. I am glad to see that men are recognizing this health benefit and seeking therapeutic massage from qualified providers.
